A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Butler, Clark, Clinton, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren counties in Ohio until midnight on January 7. Union and Wayne counties in Indiana are also under the same warning. Additionally, Randolph County in Indiana is under a Winter Storm Warning until 7 p.m. on January 6. Auglaize, Champaign, Darke, Logan, and Mercer counties in Ohio are under a Winter Storm Advisory until midnight on January 7.

Weather Update: Storm Center 7 meteorologists will continue to monitor the winter storm, providing updates on timing and impacts starting at 4:25 a.m. on News Center 7 Daybreak until 9 a.m. Meteorologist Ryan Marando reports that while the heaviest snow has ended, snowfall will continue for several hours into the afternoon. Drivers should expect hazardous travel conditions with snow-covered roads, low visibility, and slippery spots.

Snow Accumulation: Some areas have already received nearly six inches of snow, with further accumulation expected, particularly along and south of Interstate 70. Northern parts of the Miami Valley, such as Celina and Wapakoneta, have seen minimal snowfall.

Cold Temperatures: Dangerously cold temperatures are anticipated this week, adding to the challenges posed by the winter storm.
